Exel TZ-10's

Any one here have Exel TZ-10's on their R56? Reason I ask is I guess they need to be drilled to accommodate the 14mm lug bolt size.

Just wondering if anyone has....

I have a set for my 06.5 MINI.

Yes, I had to drill out the holes for the larger 14mm lug bolt.

I did it myself. It was scary, but very simple to do.

Here is how I went about doing it:

I went to Lowes and bought a new high speed 9/16 drill bit that it is about 8 inches long. I used a variable speed electric drill; variable speed so I could start out slow, electric so that I would have a constant speed and not run out of power half way through a cut.

I placed the wheel face up on a 5 gallon car wash bucket so that I could straddle it and drill straight down, plus the bucket catches the metal shavings. I started drilling slowly and as the bit began to chew out the metal, I increased the bit speed.

It took maybe 20 minutes to do.

I was scared at first; drilling holes in a new set of wheels. But now that I've done it, I'd do it again without fear.

The wheels fit great, no problems at all.
