Tire rotation advice

I purchased a set of summer tires (Goodyear Eagle F1) at the end of the summer last year (2008) and put just over 1000 miles on them before I switched over to a winter set. I'm now planning on switching back to my summer tires this weekend and wondered whether I should rotate them. I no the general consensus seems to be about every 5K miles but since I was changing them over anyway I wondered how many of you would rotate them?

Thanks in advance!

I would go ahead and rotate front to back. You can rotate them at anytime with no problems. Just don't go to long.

I would rotate them. Heck they are off anyway. Just remember to do it again in 5000 miles or so.

Thanks, I just finished changing over and rotating the summer set. However, after cleaning and storing the winter set I noticed that I forgot to mark the winter tires (LF, LR, etc.). Oh well, they are practically new with less then 1000 miles on them. Next year I'll be more careful. I don't think there's any way to really tell which tires where in the front on such a new set of tire???
