Monza/V-Spoke R84 X-Lite wheel question.
Monza/V-Spoke R84 X-Lite wheel question.
Question is about the R84 X-Lite, aka Monza, aka V-Spoke.
What size is it? 6.5 X 16 ?
Will it fit the 2009 Cooper S ?
Any known issues -positive or negative ?
Reason for interest is the reported light weight of 17.6 lbs which would save me 2.3 lbs per wheel.
Thanks all.

I don't know about the technical stuff, but they look good and are a ***** to clean. They have lots and lots of little nooks to clean the brake dust off. After Quentin had V spokes we went with Bridgespokes because they're much easier to clean.
I'm pretty sure they're 16x6.5, that's the standard 16" size. That's what the wheel FAQ says: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_wheels_tyres

MINI does not officially approve their use on an R56 S, for brake clearance reasons. However, there are people who have successfully used X-Lite wheels on their R53 with JCW brakes, which are the same size as standard R56 S brakes. There seems to be enough clearance (fit is tight), and they would need TPMS sensors.
