But I am talking about emergency knee jerk reactions.

Can you honestly tell me that if a deer (or child) were to jump out in front of you that your first, and normal, reaction would not be to try and swerve past it? Check out the videos online showing the evasive lane change test with and w/o stability control or even just using abs.

There is no way that any kind of "normal" drivers education is going to overcome this kind of normal human reaction.

Agreed, but training will allow you to use all of your available braking potential, and hopefully stop you quicker than an abs triggering smash and pray brake application.

What is "normal" driver education is what I feel should be addressed

I will start us new topic on this for discussion, as we've pretty much hi-jacked this age-topic thread.
