I am thinking about getting a set of 18-inch OZ Ultraleggeras soon. I have the JCW suspension on my MCS and I am not planning on any other suspension mods. I am undecided between 205/40/18 and 215/40/18 tires. I am thinking the 215/40/18 tire size would improve the looks by filling in the wheel arch better, increase ride comfort slightly and the wider 215mm tire may bring some performance benefits in the meantime. Can I expect any rubbing if I decide to go with 215/40/18 tires?

EDIT: This is an 07 R56 MCS by the way.

 

So noone out there has a setup similar to what's described above? I will probably go with 205/40/18 tires just to be safe.

 

I have 215/40/18's on my JCW suspension my rims are 7.5 wide 42mm offset with no rubbing issues at all. Also there is a lot more variety of rubber in the 215 size. Pics are in my gallery.........

 

I just put on a set of 225/45/18's on my back wheels(front are 205/40/18 until next week) with a 2" coil over drop and they rub just little.On a stock height setup you'll be fine with 215/40/18.

 

No they won't rub. I have the same setup with the suspension running 18x8 with a lip. Iforged retro 2 piece custom. Not even close to rubbing.

Mine are for sell since I sold my mini.
