I like 16's best, but just got some 15" Konig Rewinds which I also like.

Another advantage of a tire with a larger sidewall is less chance of a bent wheel or the dreaded strut tower mushrooming....and, generally lighter weight than the big wheels and rubber-band looking tires.

i think 16's look good on the mini.
i mean you could go bigger, but that's more $$.

16's, i think, are pretty perfect size for the mini.
thats the size i want to get just because its the best looking fit when you see the car from any distance or angle.

and cuz i dotn wanna spend money on new tires.
:D

I'm so fed up of big wheels. Seems every car out there has 18 and up. I'm searching for something small 15 or 16, needs to have a nice lip and go well with 2008 mcs Astro black with Chrome package. Agressive offset would be nice also. Any suggestions. Car is about to be dropped on H&R 1.4".

I have a set of 15's and two sets of 17's. My 15's looked great and performed well on my '03 Cooper, but now that I've got Wilwood BBK's, can't use them anymore.

Like in Paulie's case---Cross coilovers combined with 16's look amazing. Not a huge difference in look between the similar looking 17 Enkei's on mine.

My '05 MCS is a daily driver--slammed on 17's on very rough freeways 100 miles a day..I love the look and the performance, but the toll it's taking on my body and my hearing and the god awful scraping and thumps when I bottom out is pretty irritating, lol. Might have to go to higher sidewall 16's, lol.

Here's another pic so you can get a better idea of the stance (with K&N springs).

Oh yeah, tires for smaller diameter wheels tend to be cheaper! I think I'll stick with my 16's.... besides I live in Ohio where the roads have been used and abused

Lighter weight= Quicker stopping, acceleration.

A little more sidewall= Allows tires to conform to the irregularities on non-race track surfaces yielding more traction & a better ride.

Doesn't look too bad either

15's...can't get enough

I picked up a spare set of 7 hole white 15" wheels to use with my new snow tires!

I'm just waiting for my 175/65R-15 Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60's to arrive.

After 4 winters in Minnesota with the adequate All Season Conti's, I can't wait to play in the snow with my new Blizzards!

Stay tuned.
