2004 JCW tires & wheels

I have a 2004 Commemorative JCW, with 21k mi. I have bumps on my front tires side walls of the Goodyear run flats. Goodyear wants me to change to All Season F1's while they analyze my run flats. I would like to change my wheels, for there is some corrosion on the alloy between the 2 pieces. Without effecting the cars handling & tire pressure system, what is the best way to go for tires & wheels

For Goodyear F1 All Season tires use the stock 205/45-17 size.

If you want to replace the wheels then look for 17x7 or 17x7.5 with +42 to 45mm offset.

You also have the option for Goodyear F1 GS-D3 summer tires (assuming you don't get really cold weather and snow) in 215/45-17. This size will fit and work fine.

Tire Presure system

Thank You for the reply, was very helpful. now I was curious about the tire pressure system, mine is one that indicates low pressure, if I change wheels what will be necessary.

An 04 would have ABS based TPMS. You dont need to do anything, but run 4 tires with the same diameter. Its ABS counter registers the tire's rotation.

Direct TPMS came a few years later
