I've got M7 springs, so I've got a big drop. When I went out earlier, it looked like it might be tight.

I just found the Ecsta MXs and also Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 also.

General Exclaim UHP is not going to handle as well as either Ecsta MX or Dunlop Sport Z1 Star Spec which are both Extreme Performance Summer tires.

What size is your current tire? How close to rubbing are you now?

Currently have 195s and I've never had a problem with rubbing ever. The tire guy also said the 215 will mount just fine to my 6.5" wheel.

Also just found my best deal. $429 out the door for the Generals. I don't need ***** out performance since I don't plan on keeping the car very much longer, but I have to get tires now.

I just wanted to add something to this conversation, instead of starting a new thread:

on a different note, has anyone used these tires in the winter? i'm moving to michigan in a month and wondering if i'll need snow tires later on. they have m+s rating tho on tire rack's website it says they're not to be used in the winter. so, how are these in the snow?

I have used mine in light and wet snow conditions in Spring - BUT - would not recommend for full winter use. I have a set of winter tires and there is no comparison - the mini sticks like crazy with the winter tires - ran them through a mountain blizzard without any problem. If you're going to Michigan plan on snow tires - you'll be much happier.
