Dealer installed wheels?

I just ordered my mini yesterday. I ordered the car with the 16in R90 rims from the accessories list. I was wondering if the price listed includes tires? I would ask my ma but the dealership is closed. Also I was wondering in general about 16in wheel tires vs 15in wheel tires combos? I had thought about since yesterday if I ordering a set of 15in Rota slipstream rims or Konig 15in rims in black instead of the R90's i have on order. Any thoughts?

Usually only the rims unless you have stock 16" wheels on your MINI and the dealership will swap out the stock tires and put them on your R90 16". If so then ask for the stock 16" wheels back with no tires.

For the MC you can use 15" rota rims but with the MCS R56 you have larger front brake calipers so not all 15" rims will fit, you'd have to check with your wheel vendor or find another owner that has used that rim for your year MINI. Also recent MINIs have 14 mm bolts that don't always fit all aftermarket wheels like the older MINI 12mm bolts did.

16" wheels usually use 195/55-16 runflats or 205/50-16 non runflat tires.

15x7" wheels usually use 205/55-15 tires on the street.

Thanks for the info. I think that just decided it for me. I really don't want to pay that much for rims. I thought the R90s were cool but I don't want to pay for tires in addition to the rims. So this puts me not knowing what to do on the tire rim front for the car.

Recommendations for an Astroblack Mini Cooper Clubman?

My mini is going to be a clubman with out the s. I really like the Rota Slipstream 15x7, and the Konig Feather 15x6.5 in black. Tire wise what are going to be good options? Could I take the stock 15 in tires that come with the Clubman?(i think they would be to narrow for 6.5 or 7 inch wide rims). The dealer said that they would buy back the rims and tires that come with the car for 400 bucks. Should I try to sell them myself on e-bay?

For Clubman Cooper base,

Using Slipstreams-
http://www.fastmini.net/rotaslipstream.html
Might not fit 15x7 due to rear trailing arm clearance.

Another option for Slipstreams would be 16x7 +40mm offset
Comes in Gold, Black with polished lip, or Gunmetal.
If you need other finishes then you'll need another vendor.

For 15x7 you won't want to keep the stock all season tires.
One option is get 205/55-15 tires like General Exclaim UHP for about $64 each 380 treadwear, Ultra HP summer tires. Good street comfort.

For any 16x7 wheels, use 205/50-16 tires. General Exclaim UHP in that size are $71 each 380 treadwear. Many other good tires to choose from, some with better handling but faster wear like Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3.
Some with longer treadwear and more comfort like Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge $108 each 440 treadwear.

You can sell back the stock 15" wheels and tires or to another MINI owner, check with your local MINI club.
