We're looking at new shoes for Tinkerbell, my wife's 2006 MCS. Considering Ion 121. Has anyone had experience with these? Or the Ion brand. I can't find anyone who's used Ion and want to find out how they felt about the quality of the wheel & company. Lori is pretty hard on wheels and tires so I don't want to go to something that might have problems. The main reason we are looking at this is to go from 17" to 16" for her daily drive tire with the intent (hope) that the pothole impact damages she does to her runflats will cease or at least reduce.

 

I haven't seem much about his wheel for MINIs.

When I went to the site for the picture I did not see anything MINI specific.

Not sure on the bolt pattern and offset or weights for the wheels.
If the cost is fairly low per wheel then weight is likely to be quite high like over 20 lbs each.
