Anyone have these? I know the rap on Pirellis is horrible treadwear but they seem to provide decent wet traction with a bit more comfort and ride quality than some of the other max performance tires. Of course, I'm basing this on the reviews and ratings which have too insignificant a number of responses to be taken too seriously.

Any thoughts?

Other question, I hear a rap on the S-03's is that they tend to track on grooved roads. This is one of my greatest miseries. Is this just an affliction to any max performance tires (I know every 50 ratio tire I've driven positively hate this one section of I-70 going into Breezewood. Is this a fair rap on the S-03? Is the Pirelli likely to be any better?

In a car like a Mini where you can change lanes if you sneeze hard, it's an important matter to me.

I had them and they hugged the curves VERY well. However, they SUCKED in the rain and the ride was VERY bumpy.

Thanks. That seems to change things.

Were those the tires on your great new wheels that wobbled over 50mph, ants?

Jeff at Autotechnic swears by the Pzero. And I'm not even buying from them. He won't recommend any other tire. They sure are pricey, though.

Keep in mind the reviews say Pzeroes handle better than any other tire in the wet.

I got the PZero Neros based upon Alex's recommendations and my own reasearch. One nice factor for me was weight. I had just bought very light 18" wheels, and buying a heavy tire seemed counter productive, as the tire is at the very edge of the rotating mass. I can't really compare the Neros to other tires because I haven't had much experience on the same car with different tires. But the Neros seem to provide enough grip for anywhere but the track or for anyone but the most insane street drivers. They also don't seem to provide too much noise. I'm happy with em.
