Greets,

I just picked up a set of the Ferodo 2500 series pads and I want to know how long / many miles you should drive on them to gently break them in. I have an autocross on Sunday and I'm wondering if I should wait until afterward to do the break pad change.

Thanks!

The pads should have come with a break-in procedure note in the box.

Usually, when I am bedding in pads, I do 3-4 40-10 mph stops, then 3-4 70-10 mph stops,
then park the car. This will outgas the pads and bed them in. Or you can drive them around for 80 miles
and see if gentle braking does the trick for you.

In autocrosses, the pads don't get warm over a 1minute run compared to road racing so
outgassing should not be an issue.

Thanks a lot all!

I win the "duh" award. I had the "how to" guide printed in my hand. Didn't even read the bottom.
