I have a 2007 S coupe with run flat tires. When the car came in they had summer tires on it which I did not order so they changed them to all-weather with rubber valve stems. My question is: Am I suppose to have metal valve stems that I keep hearing about on this site or am I O.K

 

Quick answer, you're OK and have nothing to worry about.

How I came to this conclusion...
1) Your dealer either swapped all season tires for your summer tires and re-used the wheels your car came with.
2) Or your dealer swapped complete wheels with another that had all seasons.
3) You don't mention a tire pressure warning light being on so yours didn't come with the TPMS sensors that are part of the "metal" valve stems.
4) So you are fine.

What is the build date of your MINI?

MINI's parts books (well DVD) shows TPMS on all cars from 08/07 on.

 

They swapped wheels and tires.
No warning light.
Cannot find the build date but it was ordered 0n July 9,2007
