Looking for a spare tire...

I recently purchased an 06 Cooper S and love everything about it except the Run Flat tires... as such I will be changing them out for a set of non Run Flats... something with a better ride and a bit more performance oriented... as such I wanted to procure a spare... I was somewhat unprepared for what a hassle that has been... ultimately I was able to get an "Emergency Wheel" (i.e. no tire from the Dealership... but they could not tell me what tire size to put on it or where I could get it... can someone tell me what size that tire is and hopefully where I could get one mounted... Discount Tire said they had not clue...

Inflate to 60 psi
Only use on rear wheels for JCW front brake MINIs.
Only use one compact spare at a time.
Drive up to 50 mph only.

For the base Cooper-
15" x 3.5" space-saver wheel 12.7lb (5.8kg)
Tire size -
T115/70 R15

Chevy Cobalt spare fits perfectly. Found one at a salvage yard (brand new) for $50 shipped.

I just carry a can of fix-a-flat, a small 12V compressor, and a tire puncture repair kit. Takes up a lot less cargo space than a spare.

Go to any Ford dealer and buy a used donut tire from them, I got mine for
$30.00 mounted to a Ford rim. Sold the Ford rim for $10.00 so I paid
just $20.00 for a good spare donut tire.

I just picked up a Cobalt spare rim/tire today for $35. The lot has one more available. It's located in Nortwestern NJ.

Anyone interested can pm me and I'll give you the location and phone number.

Will the Chevy Cobalt temporary spare fit in my trunk without having to fold down the rear seat(s)? Can I still use the trunk cover?

I was wondering about this subject as well. It appears that there is no where to stow a spare in my 2010 R56. Am I missing something?
