I need to replace 16" wheels and runflats...

Ok, here is the question that I am sure gets asked many, many times...

I have an 05 cooper s, with 16" stock wheels and run flat tires, and it's time to replace.

I'd like to go to a 17 or 18, and possibly do non run flat tires.

Just looking for general advice on doing this. Should I stick with run flats or not? I hear it's a more forgiving ride, but more of a hassle if you flat. And I know I need to find wheels that are as light as possible. Any recommendations for a brand? Should I do 17 or 18? Does 18 have rub issues? Any other issues other than weighing more? Would it be possible to find 17 or 18 wheels that are lighter than my stock 16's?

And recommendations for tires? I'd like to spend $1500 or less on everything.

Thank you guys!
