Just simply low offset wheels (basically the same aesthetic as adding spacers to wheels to achieve low offsets)

And a funny little animation to show what a difference wide wheels and low offsets makes. From a 5.5" wheel with an offset in the high 40s to an 8.5" wheel with an offset less than 10

15x8 et14 up front and 15x8.5 et8 and 205/50 tires all around.

15x8 et15 can be made to fit, but the stretched tire is required and i have to run -2.5 degree camber up front to be able to tuck tire. Before i added the camber, i knocked the arch off when i hit a bump....oops

Doubtful...it too much in my opinion and is only gonna be harder on your bearings than an et15 already is. It will poke out more than my rears (which are pushing it...and i would never run something like that on the front) and yet, it's a thinner wheel which will look weird IMO.

Yes....195's would fit. I'm gonna be running 195s next season cause I'm taking off these lips and go slightly smaller (15x7.5 front, 15x8 rear). It will be a lot of stretch though....

I'm gonna assume you're looking at sportmaxx's

I just wish that they offered the sportmaxx 002 in 15x8 et20 instead of et0. That'd be perfect. The new minilite (rota rb) look-a-likes are pretty cool too.

The 501's have a better offset, but I prefer how the other ones look.

Your dad's miata is probably 4x100....so there's no harm in test fitting them on your ride to see how they look

yah it's hard to pull off the stretch-poke look without coilovers. Too much wheel gap.

They're custom BBS RM's. I took off the stock lips and installed some wider polished lips from Schmidt in Germany and I replaced the original bolts with some gold plated bolts from RKimporting. They no longer sell this wheel so you've gotta find a used set....and then it's up to you on how you want to modify them. Stock they are 15x6.5 et33.....mine are 15x8 et14 up front and 15x8.5 et14 in the back.

Well, I spoke with Madness today, and they have not been able to get 8mm spacers in for quite some time, and don't see them coming in anytime soon. So I had them switch my order to 5mm. I contemplated the 12mm, but I wanted to be on the safe side since; I already have the tsw stud kit awaiting install when the spacers come in, and I think the stud kit only handles up to 8mm spacers. Plus, I might be pushing clearance a bit too close with 12mm on 215 tires, lowered.
So I'll see how it goes when they come in.

Thanks for the links. I am new to this but do you know if you can put 8mm spacers all the way around? If so do you know what size tires can be put on. I was thinking of going on 17's or 18's.

Thanks
Jeff

Can't really answer that question well without knowing what size wheel, how wide, or what offset.

The lug pattern is the same, but the lug bolts are now 14mm rather than 12mm so you may want to check on the spacer hole size. Other than that they should be the same specs.

http://hrsprings.com/scripts/appguid...|%20Cooper%20S

the part numbers match the ones on turner so i guess its all good.

June 2006 the is whene the lug switch occured - very good comment on checking lug access clearance also!
