'07 R56 winter tires

Here's what my wife is running on her '07 MCS. If you live in a snowy part of the world, do yourself a favor and mount up a set of real snow tires. All-season tires are a huge compromise: they suck when it's dry and they suck even more when it's snowing.

She's running Michelin X-Ice 195/55-16's on her OEM wheels. It's incredible how these things make it through snow, cold, and ice.

Nice tires. Winter tire technology rules.

Wonder if they would work on sand? Got no snow to try them on.

People in your area will do well with dedicated snow tires. Much safer.

I lived in Chicago for 5 years with a fair amount of snow in the winter.
Had two small cars both with basic All Season tires and drove slow with no great problems. Snow grip was poor but not dangerous. Plowed roads helped.

Thanks for the pictures.
