Scary Lug nut problem!

Not to bump an old thread needlessly, but I found today that one of my lugs is missing.

It's the locking lug, so now I have to get an extra set. Thing is, the dealer didn't give me the original lugs, so I'm sorta stuck for a while. I have no idea how long I've been driving around like this, and of course no one in town has an M14 x 1.25 replacement. I'll need to call the nearest dealer on Monday.

Lugs

Torque at 88.5 ft lbs, but as suggested on the forum, check them frequently. I rotate (front to back only) every 5,000 miles and have never had any of them loose, but I can imagine how you must have felt...scary, for sure.

Why in the world would you put locking lugs?

It would be easier to take the whole car than your wheels.
