Different tires front and rear
Different tires front and rear
Is there any problems when running different tires front and rear? Im just about ready to buy the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in 215-45-17 and leave the rears with the stock runflats till they wear out. I dont do much agressive driving in the form of curve killing. Opinions needed!!!
Thanks

Not adviseable. They'll handle differently, thus change the characteristics of the car that you'be gotten used to.
Note that the goodyears should be much stickier, so you may experience oversteer as the rear tires lose traction earlier.
If you were going to go that route, I'd put the runflats on the front, as the fronts tend to wear out MUCH (3x?) faster than the rears. That way you'll spend as little time as possible on two different types of tires and minimize the oversteer risk.
Otherwise, you may wear out the new ones before you wear out the runflats!

When buying two new tires, they should be mounted on the rear:
