TPMS False alarm?
TPMS False alarm?
On Christmas Eve I hit a chunk of metal with my passenger side front wheel. I pulled over as soon as I could to look for a puncture but did not see one. The car drove fine the rest of the way home. No odd noise or slight drift to the right.
Ten minutes later the TPMS goes off as I pull into the drive way. Again I inspected ALL the tires and saw NO damage.
I haven't driven the car since then or had time to check pressure, but could it be a false alarm? I have the MINI tire warranty, and can get it replaced no problem, but would rather not if I didn't have to.
Thanks,
Josh

i had a false alarm too, very similar circumstance. i checked the tire pressure in all 4, each one was a bit low due to the cold weather too. the right front (one i hit the bump with) was the lowest.
filled em up, started the car, warning was gone.
give that a try first.
