Is this a big problem? different tire sizes
Is this a big problem? different tire sizes
I know this is not the best idea in the world, but.....I have an 06 MSC with 16 inch runflats. We have been relitively happy with the ride/runflats but wanted to try some regular tires. I picked up a nice set of 15 inch hollies that have 2-195 60 15 inch goodyear eagles and and 2-175 65 15 inch continentals.
I put the 15 inch wheels on the car and kind of like the feel of the non-runflats. (Any big concern with leaving them on for a few weeks, being they are different sizes.)
Now, should I stick with the 15 inch hollies or go with the 16 inch when I buy new tires. I am not looking at anything fancy, just some good all season tires (live in Florida buy may take a trip North in the winter), that have a good mileage factor/ride and minimal noise. Performance is not a real big factor with us.
Any thoughts.

I wouldn't drive for a few weeks with the mismatched sizes. Your ABS brakes will see the different wheel speeds of the tires as an impending lock up & act accordingly.
If you want a nice ride stick with the Holies. A 15 inch tire has more sidewall & will ride smoother.

There is nothing wrong with the 15" holey rims. Maybe try to match all tires to one size and brand. Which Goodyear eagles are those? Mostly you want street tires with good comfort. 195/60-15 is OK
