These are 205/45/17 and my goal was too to have something simple. They are matte black and I like that contrast to the pure silver and how it matches the wheel surrounds, but now I feel I have to get drilled rotors. :-(

@ Kenchan: I think if I had that metal sculpture on the roof it would crush Moskito.

OZ Superleggeras on DS/DS 2005 MCS

Here's my 2005 MCS DS/DS with JCW suspension and OZ Superleggeras and Kumho Ecsta MX 215/40/17. No rubbing. I was looking for the older anthracite OZ Supers and got lucky enough to find ones that are in perfect condition for an excellent price on Ebay.

Didn't even pay attention to the Chicago skyline in the background of your original pics. The additional pics are great though, I love the shot of the bonnet with the Chicago skyline in the background

BBS RG-R wheels wrapped in Pirelli PZERO Corsa Direzionales

17x7.0 BBS RG-R's with Diamond Black finish

These have been my dream wheels since they were released to the US a couple years ago. I probably looked at them on tirerack.com over a hundred times and ruined at least three keyboards from excessive drooling.

Anyhow, the wife finally relented and they arrived last night. They were on the car less than 8 hours later.

The Pirellis are supposed to be great for the twisties...yet are more street than track. I'll let you all know how they go, as I will be doing a canyon run within the next few days.

I am planning on installing these wheels on my soon-to-be-here, JB/JB MCS w/ Aero kit. What do you guys think in terms of look on my new MINI? I like the fact that they are light, dark, somewhat unusual. I also dont like a lot of spokes (I like 5 or less) so these fit my taste perfectly.. BTW they are 17s If anybody has any recommendations that fit my taste, please let me know.

When I bought them I went with the name.....I was new. I like them and I get lots of compliments but there are so many great choices.........I get "wheel" envy.

Those could cause wheel cleaning envy in a group setting such as is found at the detail cabin at the Dragon- especially if placed amongst a passel of MINIs shod in R90s!

Nice wheels ZenMINI3, should be a nice compliment to the JB/JB combo.

I agree with AC_MINI, these wheels will be super easy to clean especially if you wax them B4 hand. I can clean my JCW wheels 5 times faster than my winter s-lites and the ENTIRE wheel is cleaned not just the face.

Go 4 it

NICE

There is / was someone with the Axis Mag-Lites on here... used to have a picture of their car with those wheels as their sig... something like R2-D2? Or maybe I'm mistaken.

I've suddenly got my eye on those wheels for my track wheels. I was thinking 16" for track wheels, but I guess I could be convinced to go with 15" wheels. 17" is out for weight / cost.

I plan on putting these on next spring/summer for those seasons only. For track I too would want to go even lighter. You have to admit though, 14 lbs per wheel on the street isnt bad! I kinda wish they came in 18s... But I like them too much:smile:

In the photo the wheels look startlingly different (for wheels)--a statement in purist geometry. They look really good with the metallic paint scheme. I believe PIAA makes a similar configuration. I saw it on a MINI for sale in eBay a year or so ago. The wheels were black. Stunning stealthy look, but not the precision image presented metallic in this eBay offer. Nifty.

I missed the middle 10 pages or so. Anyone know if there are any pics of a black mini w/ black ASA AR1's? Or any color mini for that matter with the black AR1's?
