Hey everyone,
I'm wondering what kind of tires to put on my 2008 Mini Cooper S. Anyone have any good suggestions? I have had Nokian tires on other cars and loved them...anyone had any experience with these on a Mini Cooper? My hope is to get the WR-G2 model, but i'm open to any advice.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

I've been running the Continental Extreme Vontact DW and I love them. The grip in incredible and tread life is amazing. I've run them on the Dragon twice and the entire Blue Ridge Pkwy.. I live in Central Florida so it's a bit of a trip just to get to those places. I still have plenty of tread left with around 10k on them.

My new velocity rims in gunmetal with my new license plate. It really goes good with the 3m carbon fiber stripes. If I was brave enough I would take them off and powder coat then in gunmetal or dark gray, but I dont to know if I would hurt the caliperes. I know I would have to bleed the breakes. How do you think they would look in red?

[SOLVED] in case anyone was wondering this will not work for daily driving. The wheels will rub in the rear and this applies especially if your going to be lowering your car best route to take would the the 16" approach. 17x8.0 is even pushing it you want to stick to about 6.5-7.0 at most for it to be comfortable and reliable. Did some research and found some answers.

size -17x10.0 lug pattern -4x100 offset -15 center bore- 57.1 lip -4.0"
I know the lug pattern will and the size is a maybe, but what I was really wondering is the bore and the offset? Should I get the 20mm offset?
I have been searching
the forums to see if anyone has a similar set up or what else they did to fabricate this in order for it to work.
Any insight from anyone would be appreciated thanks in advance.
Or maybe someone has pics of a (r53) lowered on wide 17'' wheels?

Sorry for the delay, had to wait to post these after getting home from work. Also, had 3-tons of rock dropped off on my driveway today so the car was "trapped" in the garage when I took these photos, so not at the quality level of some of the nice pics. I see on the site. I purchased these wheels from www.wheelstudio.com for $160 each (free shipping). Put them on a house scale and they weighed in at 16#. BTW, am considering painting the calipers red, any thoughts/opinions apreciated!

..as for the calipers...your car, your decision...but since your asking for input: for painting stock calipers I think better to just make them look newer with some silver, and even touch up the hubs & around edge of discs.
I did that a while back...just makes things look cleaner back there.

Looks great! I want my Mini to look like yours, problem is mine is blue so 1st I need to change the color! Stance looks great, everything does-looks tough!!
