help? Brake pad light just turn on

Hi everyone, I need some help. My brade pad light is on. I am in GTA. Anyone know if there is another place I can replace the pad other then mini dealership who can also reset the brake pad light on the dash? I do want to save some money!

Mini charge 186 for the front brake pad. Is this a reasonable charge?

thx so much

How mechanical are you?

This is for the rears, but I'm sure if you do a search there's a front DIY too.

Anyone should be able to change the brake pads, but the sensor is a wear item as well and needs to be replaced to turn off the light.

Check your pad thickness visually.

With most wheels, you can look through the wheels and see the brake pad directly. The brake light will go off if EITHER the front or back pads are too thin, so you should examine them both to see which one is wearing faster.

OctaneGuy's how-to guide (referenced in message 2 above) has some great pictures that you can look at to compare.
