Anyone put 16" Panasports on R56?

I found the 14 x 12 studs at Texas Speedwerks. The backs went on great, the fronts hit the side of the new improved big caliper. Anyone know what thickness spacer to use?

Thanks.

You can try a 5mm spacer but be careful that the threads still are long enough to grab onto the nuts.

A thicker spacer would require a longer stud or bolt to work.

The new R56 MCS comes with the larger JCW sized front brake caliper so more clearance is needed and some 16" wheels may not fit. 15" wheels don't fit easily.

If everything about the R56 S brakes is the same as the R50/53 JCW brakes, then a 5mm spacer will do the trick, but will give you VERY little clearance.

Read this and check the pictures:

Thanks. The TSW 14 to 12mm studs are plenty long enough.

Good link, thanks. I'm not ready to give up on the Panasports.

Glad someone could use the info. I re-read my old post, and I've since been told that the '07 Cooper doesn't use the JCW type brakes, just the MCS. Anyway, the spacer info should still be correct.

The Panasports are nice. Post pics if you put a set on your '07.

Yep, 07 MCS has last years JCW brakes. Just ordered the spacers. If the box gets here Friday, I'll have pictures Saturday!

Thanks again.
