Different kinds of RFs on the same car?

I just took delivery on my R56 a few weeks ago and it got a flat this weekend. The tires only have 600 miles on them. I was hoping to get some more mileage out of the stock tires/wheels before upgrading and also want to do suspension before new wheels. Can I buy a single Continental ContiProContact SSR and have it mounted. I was hoping that if I did this and rotated it to the rear of the car it would be alright and last me through the winter so that I can upgrade next spring.

Any thoughts? I've never had RFs before (and hate them already after 600 miles).
