BRAKE BLEED - HUH? Why wont the shop do it??

Hi guys,

I asked my mechanic if he would swith my fluid with the good stuff! He actually came back and said that he would NOT as it would not be perfect. He said he would want to do it totally properly which would require some code something or other to guarantee that the ABS pump was bled out properly. I may have the details wrong but that was the gist of it!

Where does everyone get theirs done!? I thought folks did it by themselves? Should I go ahead and tell him just to do it the best he can?

Many thanks.

Neil

I had my brake fluid changed at Goodyear a month ago. They had no problems
