What you are saying is true and will also do that but it’s harder… it typically needs to be in-person so you can connect and monitor things in a way not possible remotely (plug things in, experience by seat of pants/eyes/ears, etc)

I guess what I am trying to communicate here is I can’t tell you how many tuners use “shortcuts” to the result. They skip certain tools, processes etc that I personally would never do b/c without everything I just cannot deliver the best possible product… and for those people/cases that don’t use everything - they can’t deliver their best product either.
I can say for certain adriancl absolutely takes no short cuts or overlooks anything either..i suggest you pm him and maybe you guys could discuss things more indepth and he could fill you in on his process...
what do you use for your tune editing and what is required for tune to be uploaded ? Imo those are the things too you should be saying because that's the #1 thing with tuning is , alot of people don't wanna take that last step to upload their tune because they fear they may screw something up. That another BIG reasoning for remote tuning is you have the ability to do that for the customer then.

Guys, I just want to be clear - I am not turning this into a opinion/judgement of other tuners. That makes me uncomfortable and not the intent of these posts. There is plenty of room for everyone and I am in no way going to bad mouth anyone or even lay question over someone else’s work directly. I am just remarking about what I know is good practice and what I believe in when it comes to the work I do for others

Everyone’s setup and what they use in terms of power adders or tuning methods (piggyback, flash, standalone, etc). What’s required to tune each different one is slightly different my friend. PM me and we can discuss your specifics and then I can give you a specific answer.

I am sorry, but this is completely inaccurate. Also, I am not debating dyno vs road tune, in fact I am against tuning in one situation over another. A really good tune uses both - they are just tools, that is it. Never did I say ignore datalogs lol, this is where the comments start to go sideways my friend. If you want to discuss it, let's talk, clearly we both have a lot to say Plus it will be better understood in convo

FWIW:

The right air fuel ratio for a particular engine will depend on many variables and it's always a moving target since as tuners we're not aiming for a fixed air fuel ratio across the entire range of RPM and load. It is supposed to vary some. An engine will typically make good power across a reasonably wide range of air fuel ratios.

Yes, I do the GP cars as well. In fact, one of my better friends Gabriel (@saavg) owns a GP3 (+ commented earlier in this thread) and I will be tuning his car in addition to another friend of ours (Samuel) who has a JCW Countryman with the same engine. That would make you the third w/ a B48E There are a few spots remaining. I am in Miami, but open to travel within a few hours drive as I build. DM me to continue this convo for specifics and details on how to get going. Thanks for the interest!

I'm in West Palm Beach.
Thank You
