Hi Everyone! Thanks for looking at my Mini. I hope I don't regret this...
It's JCW R52 car, last year of the supercharged cars. It has 46,000 miles and I'm the second owner. Bought this three years ago with 36,000 on the clock. I've enjoyed every second owning this car, but I'm ready for a change.
As you know, it has factory upgrades for the JCW (LSD, larger injectors, ported exhaust head, smaller SC pulley, exhaust, bigger brakes, JCW intake, etc). I added a RMW street camshaft from Jan (he's local to me). And yes, it's a 6 speed manual.
When I first purchased the car, I went through it meticulously. I've replaced and repaired so many things on this car....definitely a labor of love. I'll need to re-post a list, but it's mechanical sound and well maintained. Head gasket was done at first. The clutch was done at 37,000 due to bad throughout bearing, all motor mounts, clutch slave and master, bleed lines, coolant, Redline gearbox fluid, thermostat, belt, plugs, speed sensors, cam o ring, fan resistor, water pump, etc. The list is deep as I'm a fanatic with upkeep. In fact, brake light came on last week, so I'll replacing the rotors and pads all around as they are the original rotors.
The bad: The roof is a seven out of ten because of the rear glass being re-glued. I'm undecided on replacing it, since I'm selling. Small crunch in the front right bumper (see pic). Also, the clear coat has faded in the rear driver quarter panel. I think it needs a respray there. Honestly, it never bothered me (it's minor). Weird that it's fine everywhere else.
This is a California car...zero rust. It's summer year round where I live, so I will continue to drive and add miles. Just looking for the right home and someone who appreciates the car too. It's an awesome color combo and a blast to drive. Hit me up if you're interested. I try to post more pictures this weekend. Let me know if you have questions. Update: I added an aluminum expansion tank per the suggestion here. Lowered the price.
I put the cravenspeed aluminum one in my 08 R52 JCW. I also put the cravenspeed power steering tank in too just so they matched. I put the vibra technics upper motor mount in also because the stock style ones always fail. To me it was worth the 200 bucks to know I will never have to mess with it ever again.
