Knocking noise going through all gears....

Knocking noise going through all gears....
My 2004 Mini Cooper S started making a loud knocking noise in the engine when in all gears. When in neutral the noise stops. There is oil in the car and no emergency lights are on in the dash. Anyone have any suggestions?
