glove box cooling

OK, so do Mini's really have a/c in the glove box? How effective is this?
Thanks!

I know the first-gen cars do, and it's extremely effective. Basically, there's a vent in the glovebox that you can manually open or close, and it gets its air from the same source as the other vents in the car, so if you have the A/C on, and the glovebox vent is open, it will refrigerate the glovebox.

It works well enough that I've actually had condensation form all over my iPod that I keep in the glovebox when I forgot to close the glovebox vent.

Glove Box Cooling

There is a dial on the left rear of the glovebox that regulates the air flow into it.

It'll keep a soda nice and ready for you all day if you want to put it there.

Shopping for chocaholics is no longer a problem, either!

R56's also have the same vent in the glovebox as well.
