Suspension Scraping problems with bigger than stock tires?
Scraping problems with bigger than stock tires?
I'm posting this in suspension because maybe my fix is suspension related (baring of course getting smaller tires). I switched from the stock run-flat tires which I believe are 195/45/17 to falken 215/45/17s and now whenever I have more than 2 people in the car, the back end scrapes every time I hit a remotely small bump :( With 4 people in the car it scrapes just TURNING hard. Is there anything suspension wise I should do to fix this? I'm considering just doing the rear seat delete if it's a reversable operation so more than 2 people can't even fit in my car
Stock suspension? Check the tires to see if you can figure out where it's scraping. You might want to take a dremel to the plastic trim, taking off some of the inside bit. (feel it up, you'll see what I'm talking about.) Or just live with it and see if the tire's cut away whatever they're rubbing against... Or vice-versa
i took the back seat out and love it. It is very reversable, just leave the bottom in, its only foam and vinyl, and weigh about 5lbs. Mine didnt want to come out anyway. To take the backs off you need one wrench and 5 spare minutes. I also love not have to drive people around anymore....
