Suspension Alignment Settings
Alignment Settings
I'm getting some adjustable rear control arms installed after my incident at the track this past weekend and I wanted to get an idea of what alignment specs people are running. I currently have H-Sport lowering springs on the car, so I know I'd have to use something other than factory anyways. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer to run an alignment that provides better grip, but not too much uneven tire wear. I'm, of course, willing to look into all the options. Thanks!

I have -2.0º camber up front and -1.6º camber in the rear. Toe-in is 0.05º front and rear. Note: I have 4 adjustable rear control arms, IE adjustable plates with stock springs and dampers, and a 22mm sway bar set on stiffest. There was some rubbing of the front springs for the first 1000 miles or so, but they wore a spot for themselves. This set up handles way better than stock. Steering response is improved. The car is neutral. Sadly, trailing throttle oversteer only happens if I enter a corner at above 50mph. But hold the throttle, and I can take spiral highway off ramps at speeds in excess of sanity.
Nice... unfortunately I can't change the camber for the front, but I'll certainly take your settings into account. I was recommended similar settings from another MINI owner, so I'll have to see how it handles here soon when I get my car back. Thanks for the info!
