stiffer linear rate springs

Does anyone know of any springs that:

1. Have linear rates
2. Are stiffer than stock MCS sport package springs
3. Will work with the stock dampers
4. Won't change the ride height

I can't really find a spring that doesn't lower the car. Progressive rates are bad for performance driving and I don't care for comfort at all. A comfortable driver is an unsafe driver after all.

Lowering may help the car's dynamics, but I don't like the look of lowered MINIs. In my opinion removing weight, tunning camber, and proper wheel & tire selection would have more of an effect than lowering these already ground hugging cars. Besides in my town there are some areas were I scrape the bumper regardless of speed, not to mention winter driving.

Our TSW Sport springs are about as close to everything as you want as you can find - except for the drop (3/4"). They're linear, stiffer than SS+ springs, and work well with the OEM dampers. I know of no other option out there...

JCW springs meet your requirements, and only lower 0.5"... they are red (nice bling), but cost more (about $300 from Morristown MINI) than the TSW springs...

You should also consider upgrading your struts to FSDs... they can help firm up the ride in corning, while getting rid of some of the abusiveness of the stock struts. I'm currently running the JCW+FSD combo, and love it. FSDs also work great with the TSW springs according to other members on this site...

I guess the stock springs and dampers are ok for me if no one sells exactly what I want.

If you remove weight from the car, and get some springs with a minimal drop at the stock weight (like the JCW or TSW ones), your car should have little to no drop at all in the end.

Just to comment a bit here.... I am running the TSW springs and FSDs. I was also very concerned about ride height because I have a driveway that is almost impossible to get in or out of without scraping... With the slightly lower TSWs, I don't scrape anymore than I did with the stock Springs... They are a huge improvement in ride and handling, and the minimal drop hasn't had any negative effect on ride for me. At a glance you can barely even tell it sits lower. My wife never even noticed...
