Install Results
These are the results from my Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates and M7 STB
I had a few complications along the way, but not too serious. The first problem was making sure the camber plates went on the right sides. Next, the passenger's side strut piston nut was seized. No matter what I did, it didn't want to undo. The Fix: An impact wrench. Took it right off without any damage. With all the torque and speed, it grabs it and twists. You don't even need the allen key. I don't recommend doing this and I'll tell you why. Upon disassenbling the strut assembly, I smelled a burnt grease smell, and some of the residue of grease was hard and dried up. This almost tells me the bearing was bad and all the heat build up locked the nut on. Good thing I had new camber plates.
The driver's side strut was mushroomed only slightly, hardly worth mentioning. The passenger's side; however was HORRIBLE !!!
After banging it down from the top, I still had to cut about a 12" piece of wood and bang down on the actual plate. I finally got it and here are pictures of the results.

This is the passenger side. The M7 fit flush.

This is the driver's side tower. Notice how the nuts have a lot of thread left.
The biggest regret I have was not being able to install the sway bar, especially since I already had the rear struts off. I removed the bushings, end links, and subframe bolts, only to realize, my friend had my pry bar !!!!
Anyway, I took her out today, and she handles nicely. I didn't realize how much difference more negative camber makes in handling. I was very sceptical on fixed plates, as I always like being able to adjust things. With things right now, I have to watch my spending so the fixed plates were in. Very nice, and I recommend them to every one. The tires tuck on the rear, but I was never quite sure why the fronts don't tuck as much. Now, all I have to do is get rid of these crappy runflats. Even so, the runflats weren't bad at all.
And, for the final touch.........
