Lowering and swaybar???

I am soon to lower my car and add a rear sway bar.

I just recently bought used H&R springs from a member here on NAM. I have not yet bought a rear sway bar, but am looking at the ALTA, mainly because it is red.
There does not seem to be much of a difference between them all. I am getting different opinions on the decision to get a 22mm or 19mm.

For performance driving I am mainly just doing some "aggressive" canyon carving and am planning to do some auto-x and track days. Which size should I get???

Also, I plan to install the springs and swaybar myself. Do I have to have the car realigned after the installation? I am getting conflicting opinions on this as well.

My X-mas present showed up at the front door earlier today. New matt black TD pro race 1.2's!!!

I am sooo stoked!!! I cannot wait for this next suspension and wheel phase of my mods to happen!!!

Any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Nikki #812

don't forget rear control arms to adjust the camber you'll be getting from the lowered stance... rear control arms will put you at normal camber vs. too negative... this is where the alignment comes into play... once you adjust that then you should get the rear sway. see how it feels and let the car decide what sway you'll need...

When you replace springs you will have to realine, but not after rear sway bar .
When lowering it is best to get adjustable end links for sway bar. They will need to be lengthened.

Take a look at the H-Sport 22mm bar. They are hollow and perform just as well as the solid bars. Less weight is a good thing !

I put an Alta RSB on and H-Sport springs, along with helix control arms matched to the stock length. The car drives perfectly fine without getting an alignment so far, but I do plan on getting one soon anyways.

JMHO - the 19mm H&R rear bar works like a CHAMP with the H&R springs...

I just got the H-sport comp rear sway, 5lb, 25mm, hollow, three settings, (on middle now) from Way Motor Works.

Did some donuts, hit some twisties on the way home and what a difference, even on my stocker, with run flats!
