Hmmm, they can't really fix the towers, it will happen again. They can whack them down like we have to, but that essentially weakens the sheet metal even more, virually guaranteeing the same problem again and again until the sheet metal eventually cracks. The problem is in the design and materials of the strut towers..

The best way to fix it is to change the design. I've not seen one yet, but my guess is that since MINI is very well aware of the problem, the 07's have something to correct it. For all of us with pre-07 cars, I personally recommend at least the M7 SRPs.

I haven't read much of it, but since putting on my SRPs I have noticed that I feel the road more. I don't know if that is just my emotional response to them being on, or if I really feel a difference, but it is an observation I've had often enough since installing the SRPs that I feel comfortable sharing it here.
