Welcome to the best coilovers I've ever had or ridden on! Those are the real deal. Did you end up buying them from the U.K.? What rate and length springs did you end up specifying?

note to others, do not use the Competition 2 Ways in temps. below 40 deg. F.

hey, I ended up getting them from KW N.A. KW DE can't get me the 140mm up front with the coilovers, so I ended up buying a extra two set of 140mm in 80n and 70n. I'm going to try 80n front and 90n rear for now! thanks so much gowest!

My springs are KW. Very nice springs, so I can only imagine how the coildovers will be. Congrats.

How much did you get them for and where? Plus, in one of my other posts....how do you go about ordering different spring rates (for my 4" gap)? Those things are mighty purty....I'm jealous for now!

I'm going to install it this week. I had the kw v2 before and they work great for every day driving, and weekend track days. I'm looking for a more aggressive set up, so I went with these. I'll let you know my feedback later on! Gowest (Rich) had the same set up, and he loved it! Many thanks to him for helping me!

I got them from KW North American, call Tom Edge at 1 800 445 3767. I got for a little over 2000usd. I'm pretty sure (99%) the kw v2 can solve your 4" gap problem at the back, if not then you can try to upgrade rear springs to a higher rates.

$2 GRAND?!? These used to be like $1300 on good days. What happened? Did coilovers become scarce in the Mini world? Or did everyone get greedy like with the PSS9's? BTW...KW V3's for my 3-series are like $1800.......I'm stumped.

The standard V2 goes for 1400usd or less. But the 2-way is what teams in mini challenge use. Is some serious stuff like leda or moton, it can handle springs up to 1000lbs plus. Ya, two grand for a coilovers set up is a lot, but I think is worth it.

The V2's are $1500+- these are the Race 2 way's. Bump and rebound adjustable. $2000+. If you want 3 ways with remote reservoir $3500. I raced with these at Las Vegas in the NAMCC Phil Wicks thing and at the new Miller track in Salt Lake in May. They made a big difference. Were still sorting them out. And will have a chance at Portland (PIR with ALMS) this coming weekend July 21/23. We might try a 1/2 inch more drop.

The only problem I had was with clearance on the front with stock offset. You need a 37/38 offset for the tire to clear the springs. I removed the retainer springs and ran the adjustable perch up. Still have a good drop and could go lower but I can only adjust upward about 1/2 inch now. I also drilled out the top of the frame in the rear and made longer adjusters. Now we can adjust the rebound with the shocks on the car.

HC0624 good luck with your install you'll love these. But if you plan on driving the streets with these make sure your fillings are tight.

Oh...they are the RACE coilovers. Sounds good then. I thought you were talking about the standards. My bad. I'm jealous even more now!

Any Updates?

How are they working out for you and what spring rates did you finaly go with? I am trying to decide on which coilovers I want and am leaning toword the KW V3 (street, solo II and possible track days).

I'm using the Webb Camber Plates that are modified. We now can get about 4 degrees negative on the front. Once we modified the plates and changed the camber the cornering speed improved and tire ware is now even across the tread

I used a set of RDR/Helix camber plates, but the coilover shafts is a little longer then others. It grinds of the metal under the top plates, I send them to a local machine shop to have the middle slot (bottom side) machined wider so it won't grind.

Thats great! You confirmed my thoughts on what seems to be a perfect solution. I have an appointment Tuesday to have this done at a local machinist on my H-sport Competition camber plates.
