Suspension Nex Coilovers? Anyone use them?
Nex Coilovers? Anyone use them?
I am new to Mini coopers but i built hondas for a while. I am not sure if anyone has used the NEX coilovers for the MCS or not. any opinions? I was also looking at the Tein basic coilover setup. It seams most people on here have the H-sport springs. What are veryones opionions on any of the above?
I'm not much of a trailblazer so I didn't want to be the first to try it. However, the NEX look very promising. Just based on photos and reading the descriptions, it appears to have good features and build quality. No info on the spring rates though. I would guess it probably uses the standard super stiff spring rates that most of the Japanese/Taiwanese manufacturer use.
I appreciate a responce. That is the same thing i have heard about the teins, not many people using them, but i hear that they are super stiff. anyway bump up in the hope someone on here has used them, or maybe there brothers mothers girlfriends cousin has heard about them, even that would be nice.
Bump.
Anyone have any experience/opinion with NEX coilovers? There is a set for sale on ebay. Looks like the vendor (Max Speed Performance) sells a lot of suspension parts and wheels for other cars.

looks like the same garbage coming out of china that gets private labeled by a few companies. Look closely and you will most likely see striking resemblances to stuff from some products from some of the bottom feeders of the aftermarket.....and a few that fill the pages of Sport Compact Car and such...
I would stick with HR, KONI, Bilstein or something with some R&D and support behind them....

I would tend to agree with that Aaron. Sticking to a top brand is safer. However, for those who don't mind being guinea pigs nor home engineering the last 10% of a product that was only engineered 90% (ala Megan, BC, etc...), then NEX seems like a decent alternative.
