Camber Plate Install Advice Sought

I just purchased the Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates. Install seems pretty straight forward, however, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated as I readily admit to being a novice when it comes to working on the MINI.

If your car lives in an area where things rust, let someone else do the work and be prepared to pay way more than you expect.

alignment before and after

I would have the car aligned before and after, to see where you actually wind up-so-if the car has some handling trait afterwards that you are not happy with, you can look at the specs and figure out what to do with it.

Chad at Detroit tuned installed the fixed Ireland plates on my 06' a few weeks ago along with H-sport springs, Bilstein sport struts, and H-sport lower adj rear links. I was glad no bashing into the wheel wells was required. He recommended using 1/2 length of the stock bump stops (yes he cut them in half with a hacksaw). Camber was -1.4, -1.7, driver, pass; respectively. We had alignment shop set front toe: 1/16 out, rear toe: 0, rear camber: -1.6. Despite the factory rear adjustability of the >05's, with the addition of the lowering springs you will very likely need adjustable lowers in the rear (I went with H-sports). Car is a daily driver, used for 2-3 schools a year and I live in the rustbelt. I think the current setup is ideal for such purposes plus tire wear should be much better than running -2.2 camber up front. Good luck with the install.
