MCS to JCW spring swap ???

I have an 05 MCS and am thinking of swapping over to the JCW springs. Will I have to change the shocks/struts as well or will just swapping the springs be ok?

It will be ok for some period of time. But not optimal.

The JCW springs are designed to work with the JCW dampers. Do both. You won't be sorry.

I've read that swapping out the JCW springs (and bump stops) is good but if you're also looking to replace shocks then go with the Koni FSD's. The overall package is a little stiffer but still smooth. Check out the Koni FSD thread.

Has anyone compared the JCW springs and dampers to the JCW springs with Koni FSD's?

I'm still partial to a combo that was designed to work together.

I think there was one comment in the the Koni FSD three but you'd have to check it out.

I believe so, I think they use your VIN to determine spring rates or some such based on what options they think you have on the car.

Most of the MINI dealers have their JCW bits available online (click accessories on just about any of the dealer home pages). Some dealers have discounts for NAM folks and such, so shopping around can save a bit of money.
