Not entirely grammatically correct but I was going for humor not accuracy. I hope I got close.

This is the best mod I have done so far (..OK maybe tied with the 15% pulley). The car feels more like a junior BMW M3 now, it is no longer harsh over uneven roads and handles significiantly better.

If you want more info - I can't stop talking about the FSDs send me a PM and I'll give you my phone #
Had the FSDs and H-Sport springs installed this past weekend at Central Coast Coopers. Thanks to Scott and his crew out there in Oxnard !

The set up is absolutely awesome! This is how a MNI should drive. Also had installed 2-pair of Noltec rear control arms. Will post alignment specs soon. Can't be happier about this!

Well, they (FSDs) are on my MCSa....

For my needs (minimum ride harshness), the combination of the Sport Suspension springs (what my MCSa came with from the factory), 16 inch /50 series non-runflat tires and FSDs is the current state-of-the art. I took a longer way home that had some challenges (purposely drove out of my way to find a section of street that was ground down for re-paving - now there is some rough roadway) to try out the FSDs. Now, you hear the roadway's bumps and roughness more than experience it. There remains some residual roughness, but it is nowhere near what was before.

FSDs = (out of 5 possible score). A highly recommended modification!

trentf - I was told that the FSDs would not fit on an '02????
Enlighten me ... did you have to modify anything?

heres the deal on the early car

if you have a pre 3-02 car, the UPPER SPRING MOUNTS AND SPRINGS ARE DIFFERENT. the sway bar end link mounts on the strut housings are different as well ==HOWEVER if you want to install lowering springs, you will need all of the top mount items from the spring upwards-about 110.00 at your MINI dealer. We have done one coversion of a very early 02, the first S ever sold in Hollywood, and it worked out fine/springs only. we have not done any fsd conversion on an early car, it will require a later front sway bar and end links, at the least. Trents car was built after 3-02.

Hi DrkSlvr,

Have been away from things lately, sorry for late reply. Basically, Scott explained this perfectly in his message after yours. Mine is an Aug02 build so I didn't have this issue. If your quest is for better ride quality and improved handling at all points, you will not be disappointed!

Trent
