Request for data: camber plates and lowering springs
I've been on a thread about Ireland Engineering camber plates and it appears that more data are needed to resolve an issue. Since the issue is not specific to IE plates I ask for your data, please. Can you answer the following questions?
If you have camber plates, and if you have lowering springs (not coilovers),
1. what year is your car?
2. what negative camber can you achieve?
3. is 2. restricted by the springs hitting ridges on the inside of your shock tower?
Thanks for any responses. If your answer to 3. is yes, did you hammer the ridges down to achieve greater spring clearance at -2deg camber?
cheers,

1. I have a 2005 MCSa with H-Sport Springs and stock struts.
2. Currently set at -1.7deg camber with Steve's Auto Clinic camber plates (I believe made by Ireland)
3. Could go further. Don't know how much. No noticeable restriction so far by either springs or tower opening.

I had PSS9 coilovers, but they used the factory top spring perch.
1. what year is your car?
'03
2. what negative camber can you achieve?
-3
3. is 2. restricted by the springs hitting ridges on the inside of your shock tower?
yes

Hammered those out after about 2.5 I think.
