Moss Mini strut brace?

Does anyone own the MossMini Strut brace? How is it and what is the fitment like? How well will it work with a pilo intake? I was maybe thinking of picking one of these up as the price is right.

this one right??

its k00l,
fits very well on top of the strut towers, no flimsy stuff either, the system is thick/sturdy.
considerin' the size of this bar, the design fits very well under tha bonnet. as far as tha PILO intake i cant say as i dont know wut one looks like nor do i run one.
btw, i dont run this one anymore i now run M7's

The Pilo intake is very similar to the alta intake. Why did you switch to the M7? I was also looking at the M7 as well. But saw that the MossMini can be had for half the price.

really, tha only reason i didnt like that moss mini one wuz cuz of tha two hole mount design, m7's is a three hole mount, when mounted theres more metal restin' around the top of the strut tower
but the ends of mossmini's bar are big too

As you can see from the mounting plate on the strut tower brace in question it will do nothing to assist in preventing strut tower mushrooming. Our brace is designed to acheive two functions . Provide additional support between the strut towers and help prevent the mushroom effect. Our brace does two things so costing " twice " as much sounds about rite

Which camber plates work with the M7 unit? That is my deciding factor.

At this point ANY which use the stock bolt pattern should work. I have the sbc / ireland eng adustable units myself. If they mount underneath and have the same 3 bolt pattern there should be no problem.

If I were to buy your strut tower brace, would I have to modify the heatshield for the strut tower to fit? That was another reason why i was considering your strut tower, for the nice thick plates and the extra protection.

I have the MossMINI strut tower brace along with the Pilo intake. It fit well but I had to cut the rubber sil on the Pilo box so it would fit more snug. Other than that, it was a breeze to install. I've had it for about 6 months now and I love the difference it made. You can see pics of it in my gallery.

Robsreef,

Thanks for your input, It is really hard to choose which one I want as the price for the Moss is great, but the added benifit of the M7 is also nice. They both look great, with the M7 being the first in looks. I hate when you cant make your mind up!

m7's strut bar is pretty thick on tha heat shield side, so i would say yes, im only sayin' this cuz i had my m7 bar machined down a whole 1/4" on that side also had my end plates notched so that the strut bar ends would fit/sit into the end plate intead of sittin' on top and theres still a whole lot of material left on the bar.

Garrett,
I know how you feel. There were a couple other strut braces I liked. The M7 is really nice too. The M7 wasn't available when I bought mine. If it was, it would of made my decision a lot harder to make.
