Who here has done a front sway install?

Because I have about had it with the front bar. The rear went in without a hitch. As for the front though....I removed ALL the bolts I was supposed to for the subframe. It says I should (but not nec) remove the rack bolts but I don't have an E12 Torx socket so I'm trying to slide on that. Anyways, it says to pull down on the subframe and prop it with wood blocks to gain clearance. Do I pull the subframe out of the front mounts? Well, I can only pull it down about 1" and that is not enough room for me to break the bar mounts loose. They are He-Man tight. It's like I need a 15' breaker bar. I got one loose. But have 3 more to go. And how in the HELL am I going to get them that tight again? :impatient

When I did mine I used a wrench with another larger wrench interlocked onto it to get the leverage that I needed to break loose the sway bar/control arm mount bolts.

Did you disconnect the bolt at the u-joint going from the steering rack to the steering column?

No, but that sounds like a plan now, doesn't it?
