Santa brought Tein S Techs, but.....

....I was looking at getting M7 springs. I want a somewhat comfortable street ride with a modest drop and heard the M7 was the way to go. I have not found a whole lot of Mini reviews on the S- techs.

Should I keep them

I'd say keep the s-techs. They don't drop the car a much as m7's but they will handle a little better and there spring rates are really good. There is a guy named ray on motoringunderground.com that has the s-techs and I think he likes them a lot. You should try to ask him some questions about them since he has first hand experiance.

S-Techs have nice springs rates... those would be my choice if i was to
get another MCS and drop the ride. give them a shot

Thanks guys. I'm going to give them a try . I'm hopeful the modest drop will allow me to get the rear camber close without new control arms.

Has anyone seen pics with these springs?

I'll post a review soon.

hm... well i might be the opposing force here, but i thought the H-TECH is the one that gives stock ride.... a friend of mine has the S-Tech, and he says the handling is great, and rides okay, but he said it drops much more than tein says, i think he maybe thinking they are h-techs when they are s-techs

here's a pic of my MCS (DS/W) (with eibachs), compared to his(PS/B), and a stock ride height MCS (red)

Not sure why you're considering yourself "opposing"...there's nothing you
posted that would be opposing to anything.

Here's some numbers i picked up at www.tein.com:

H-Techs:
210/230 (f/r) lbs/in
-16mm /-13mm (claimed)

S-Techs:
220/250 (f/r) lbs/in
-31/-28 (claimed)

From what i've seen on picts, the drop is a hair more than H-Sports
and less than M7's. and the rates are very good...imho, perfect for
street. I don't think one would need control arms.
