Yes. If you take the low out of low and wide it just doesn't work.

That looks so sinister. What size tires are you running?

And lastly, post more pics!

Anyone knows what those wheels are?
I like the deep dish.

I read that they are 17X8 et35 with 215-45-17. Would that offset be 'rubbing safe'??
Thanks.

Brock B2 17x8.5 w/ 215/40-17 Falken 512's. With a little camber they barely rub at all.

215's don't tend to rub unless you stay with a 45 series aspect ratio. 215/40 is very close to the OEM sidewall of a 205/45-17.

Oh, thanks for the correction,
Mini Fireman, is this your car! how much is it lowered?

Suppose I don't want to deal with the rubbing issue and play with camber (other than added camber from lowering springs), would going with a set of 205-40-17 with those wheels clear the fenders.
...I used to spend lots of time on my cars for custom fitting stuff etc, but now, 'car time' is less available, that's why I would like to find a near bolt on setup.
Thanks.
BTW the car is a R50

Sort of. It's my wife's MINI. I just mod it and drive it occasionally. It's pretty much as low as the Cross coils can be spun down (adjusted to even up the height).

The 215/40's are already stretched a decent amount to fit. Going to a 205 probably won't help much. TBH, it doesn't rub enough to matter. If you are concerned about rubbing then I'd probably suggest you stick with a more conservative fitment closer to OEM.

If you want to research what will fit then I'd suggest starting with this thread.

Edit: Not the best pic, but you can see how they fit here...

Thanks for the link, a lot of info to be found in that thread. I will certainly come back for more advices.
Funny coincidence, the Mini that I'm modding is also my wife's car, and it is also PW

Dialed in the rear coils today. Don't mind the 4x4 wheel gap in the front, it's going down over the weekend.

Yep they're Rota MCs with 3mm spacers up front. I'm running Bilstein PSS9s and clearance is really tight. While test fitting without the spacers the tires just barely cleared the locking rings. I didn't bother to check clearance with the rim and the strut for whatever reason but even with the 3mm spacer there isn't much space. For reference, I can slide my house key through that gap. My guess is there was 0-1mm of clearance with the strut (without the spacer). I'll double check for you when I adjust the front coils this weekend.
