What set up suspension wise? I tried the 15's on my mini but with the H&R coilovers dropped almost as far as they can go, I was literally on the ground when I sat in the car.

I've got megan coilovers...still got some room. But what tires were you running? I'm running 205/50s which are a bit too big and i'm gonna move down to 195/50's.

When fully lowered the car sits pretty low...but thats why i love running 15's. Currently I've got it raised until i can put in some more negative camber in the front so it doesnt rub as much

You have rubbing on your wheel wells or the front of the car is rubbing on the ground? As I sit now, I only have the rear wheel wells rubbing if I go over a bump and I have 2 people in the car. If it's just me, it sits damn fine though.

Yeah, those are bigger tires than I'm running so that's maybe why you don't have the same issues I had. My 15x8 are back on my scirocco and the mini do love it's new shoes though.

Its rubbing on the wheel wells. From the looks of your older pics you were rubbing on the lower bumper flap. Mine was literally touching the ground so i just cut it off......i would be rubbing down there too if i had left it.

I think with some 195/50's i should be totally good to go....i do love how it looks now though too...just need a bit more stretch to clear the arches.

If you're anywhere near the area.......you planning on attending h2o with either of your cars? Konky and i are bringing our minis out

Unfortunately I'm on the left coast and from your profile it looks like you're on the right coast. Don't think I'll be any where near the area.

As my car sits now, I do scratch the sheit out of the front lower bumper flap, but I don't have plans of cutting it off at the moment. I'm kind hoping through multiple scratches, it forms itself into something that'll work. lol

oh bummer.....i was hoping you were out here with us. I hate to take over this thread...but one more question....what size tires were on your 15x8's.....195/50's or the common vdub 195/45?

The lower lip will definitely form itself until you rarely hear it anymore

Nice very nice. What are the brand of your wheels or should I recognize those wheels? Look good in black.

I would love to know what you think of the JCW phase 1 and how much you like it.

I really like this car. Considering I have a jet black Cooper, it's no wonder, but I really like this particular car.

I know my setup won't appease the vee-dub slammer crowd here like Rally or Caster, but nonetheless, here's my latest setup, lowered 2.8" front and 2.9" rear with BC coilovers and fabbed front-drop-spindles to keep some uptravel at this height:

Note the front air-dam clearance. Ride height is 22.8" front and 22.6" rear. Yes I know there's wheel gap , but if anyone is running 205/40-16, 195/45-15, or smaller, I'd love to see you NOT have wheel gap and still have up-travel!

Cheers,
Ryan

I take it that you experience no problems re vibrations Konky based on your set up. I believe you are running Variant 1 Coilovers aswell??
