i will take the liberty to answer this question first. The first drive after the springs was not very enjoyable, it was bumpy, and I had a lot of negative camber in the rear, did not like the way the car looked. It almost looked like someone put a 8000ibs of load in my trunk. I dealt with it couple of days. Just a quick note, I felt a little better handling. At that time I decided to wait for a couple of days, approximately equals to 150 miles, to have the suspension and the new springs settle. On friday, I had an alingnment and tire balance; now it runs like a dream, smooth, the car handles better, and feels lively. On highway I can make sharp lane changes 15+ miles more than the usual. The only holdback is, you got tobe a little more careful with the roads.

I did the springs and sway bar, but now my alignment is all out of whack. What did the alignment run you? aprox cost? Additionally, I hear only the dealer can do the rear wheel alignment due to a BMW tool? anyone else heard this non sense? Thanks in advance!

Hey minigiant, what size are your tires. By the way those wheels are perfect for your car. One of the best looking PW MINI's I've seen.

Has anyone noticed that their rear swaybar is now rubbing the underside of the car? I thought my swaybar was squeeking and then upon inspection noticed the rear swaybar bushings are hitting the underside of the car when the springs compress.

I am also not sure why you have alignment issues. Mine seems perfectly fine as is.

Cheers,
Herbert

the sway bar bushings shouldn't move at all, the bar twists inside the bushing once it's mounted to the subframe. Only part I can picture making noise when the susp. is compressed is the endlinks hitting one of your spring coils.
Check both sides, see whutcha find.

alignment

Here in San Antonio, it depends where you get it done. I do not trust a lot of places, so paid a little extra $125.00 and was able to be with the guy and watched the whole deal. BMW tool, does not make sense to me.

to moskito: are you sure that the wheels are all in line, total stock, it is almost impossible, or they did an alignment right after the installation, or you do not notice the difference.
