Suspension Camber plates or adjustable arms necessary?
Camber plates or adjustable arms necessary?
I'm thinking about lowerng my 05 MCS w/ H-Sport springs but I haven't seen anything that specifically said whether camber plates in the front, on control arms in the rear were necessary to get the car aligned to spec.
I'm new to mcpherson strut, but on my other double wishbone front the front needed nothing, and the multilink in the rear need control arms to fix both the toe and camber. However on that car you could get 4 control arms for $150... not $500.
So whether I lower the car or not pretty much depends on what other things ($$) are necessary to prevent tire wear (mostly toe). Is camber or toe adjustable by any amout in the front or rear?

Well I have h-sports and I am noticing more tire wear on the inside, there is camber change, I really like the 1 " drop, but I am going to remove my spring and go back to factory springs. I am tired of the chop freeway ride. So I have a set of H-sports for sale, I do have to say the h-sports made canyon riding awesome, but if I stayed with the springs I would want to change the camber and it starting to get very expensive so I figure its cheaper to go back to factory springs. Just my 2cts
